Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Virginia to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients for financial insights, and suggest tax-saving opportunities using our training and technology. This in-person role offers an incentive plan and competitive hourly pay.

You will build trusted client relationships, provide guidance on tax implications, and work with a supportive team in a local office environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant Block products.
• Provide IRS notices support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office.
