Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations. You will interview clients to understand their finances, provide personalized recommendations, and identify tax savings opportunities while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Preferred: Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and CPA/EA credential

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
