Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year of tax preparation/related experience including individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must comply with continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
