Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for clients with complex tax situations and to build long-lasting client relationships. You will interview clients to understand finances and identify tax savings opportunities, while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

This role offers in-person work at a local H&R Block tax office with training support, and an incentive plan tied to impact and tax expertise growth.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of tax preparation or related experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications; provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
