Job summary

H&R Block in Idaho is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses.

You will interview clients to understand financial situations, offer personalized recommendations, and promote H&R Block products while delivering empathetic service. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Required: Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience
• Experience in client facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and state/IRS requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
