Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for clients with complex tax situations and to build lasting client relationships. You’ll interview clients, identify tax savings, and recommend H&R Block products, supported by our training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You’ll use your tax expertise to provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan based on impact

Qualifications

• Complete H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1+ year in tax preparation or accounting, incl. individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Maintain continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess finances and tax implications.
• Provide personalized tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office.
