Job summary

H&R Block in Pittsburgh area is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional who will prepare complete returns for individuals and small businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed. In-person at a local H&R Block office, with training and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year of experience in tax preparation or related field including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes and provide recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
