H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, advise on savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships at a local tax office.

In this in-person role, you will leverage industry-leading training and technology, receive a competitive hourly rate, and participate in an incentive plan that rewards your impact as you grow your tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment
