This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office in Oregon. You will interview clients, prepare returns for individuals and businesses, provide advisory guidance, and build lasting relationships while ensuring IRS/state compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and product recommendations
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed
