H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office. You will interview clients, handle individual and business returns, provide tax guidance, and collaborate with your team to deliver trusted service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA/EA or IRS credential; experience with complex returns and tax planning

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations, including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
