Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations, prepare accurate returns, and uncover savings opportunities, backed by industry-leading training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and build trust while offering tax savings ideas and related H&R Block products.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• CPA or Enrolled Agent credential preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand tax situations and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote H&R Block products
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive office environment
