Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, and to interview clients to understand their financial situations and tax implications.

You will deliver personalized recommendations, identify tax savings opportunities, and build trusted client relationships while using leading training and technology. This is an in-person, seasonal role at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Pass the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Meet IRS and state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse client situations.
• Interview clients to understand finances and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and refer H&R Block products as appropriate.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance when needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
