Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal, in-person role at a local tax office in Ohio.

You will prepare complete tax returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situations, and provide personalized tax-saving recommendations. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements and hold a HS diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized tax recommendations and identify savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
