Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
