Job summary

Jackson Hewitt in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking an Entry‑Level Seasonal Tax Preparer. You will conduct one‑on‑one tax interviews with clients, start to develop your book of business, and provide exceptional customer service while you gain professional training.

Tax classes start in early October to certify you to work during the tax season; flexible day/night shifts, weekends, and both full‑ and part‑time options are available. Not remote.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of computer functions and math.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or taxes a PLUS
• PTIN Certification: Yes

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, explain, prepare, and complete accurate tax forms for clients.
• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention.
• Provide clients with IRS audit support.
• Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
