The Planning Center is seeking a seasonal tax preparer in Moline, IL, to support our tax planning and return preparation services. This role focuses on preparing 1040 returns of varying complexity and collaborating with the tax team to deliver accurate results for clients.

Ideal candidates have tax experience and are pursuing or possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with significant tax coursework, plus proficiency in a paperless environment and strong interpersonal skills.

What You'll Do

Tax planning and return preparation are an integral part of our financial planning services. We are looking for a seasonal tax preparer for approximately 30-40 hours per week from early February to mid-April of 2027.

• Initial tax return preparation of primarily 1040 tax returns of varying complexity
• Collaboration with our tax team to best serve our clients
• Assist with assembling tax packages to send out to clients

What You Need

• Tax experience (preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or working towards degree with significant completion of tax curriculum)
• Proficiency with technology for a paperless tax preparation environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High professional integrity
• Attention to detail

What We Are Offering

• Competitive compensation in the range of $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience
• Reasonable and flexible work hours, approximately 30-40 hours per week during business hours from February to mid-April
