Job summary

You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate, with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role. This position is in‑person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service‑oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem‑solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem‑solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client‑first approach.
