Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to learn tax and client services with built-in training and support. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare returns under guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required. This in-person role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge and contribute to the team at a local tax office.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment with customers.
• Strong communication and clear explanations to clients.
• Problem-solving and identifying solutions for client needs.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based assistants (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT).
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide client-friendly recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions or unique situations using available resources and guidance from the team.
