Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local Tax office. You will meet clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

Training is provided and you’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge. Excellent communication and client-service skills are essential to explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving and organizing information
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT)
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products/services
• Apply problem-solving skills to address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
