Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates at a local office.

You’ll explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach, with a competitive hourly rate and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain information clearly and ask questions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
