Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. No prior tax experience required; with training from day one, you’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role,

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving with ability to organize information and find solutions
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
