Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Evansville, Indiana. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience required; training provided. You will earn a competitive hourly rate and can increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and skills. This is an in-person, office-based role during tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
