Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. You'll explain tax information clearly and identify savings opportunities while building relationships in a local office.

No prior tax experience is required; you'll receive training and support from day one, and earn a competitive hourly rate. Availability includes evenings and weekends during tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
