H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in person. You'll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and explain tax concepts with guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience required; training provided from day one. Part-time hours through peak season, with evenings and weekends possible, and opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving abilities, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations that clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
