No prior tax experience is required; you’ll learn on the job and earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and client relationships. This is an in-person position at a local office.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication, clear explanations, and needs assessment
• Problem-solving, information organization, and deriving solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based systems (Copilot, ChatGPT)
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide client-friendly recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products/services
• Use problem-solving to analyze client data and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
