Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. With training and support from day one, you’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.

This in-person role is at a local H&R Block tax office. You’ll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge and grow in the role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use digital tools including AI-based assistants.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions and unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
