Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, collect information, prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates, and explain tax concepts clearly.

There are opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, with flexible hours during peak periods. No prior tax experience is required; training and on-the-job support are provided to help you build valuable client-service skills and relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving and organizing information to identify solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems (AI-based tools welcome)
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
