H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You'll prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth interviews, and provide personalized recommendations backed by training and technology.

This in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office offers a competitive hourly rate and an incentive plan as you build your tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 2+ years in tax prep, accounting, finance or bookkeeping with individual/business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse/tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
