This in-person role operates at a local H&R Block tax office. You will build trusted relationships, assist with IRS notices, and support clients throughout the tax process in a collaborative office setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• 2+ years of tax preparation or related experience
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS/state education and licensing requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individuals and businesses)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to identify financial life changes and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
