Job summary

North Texas Float Pool seeks a Seasonal Surgical Tech (PRN) to support partner hospitals across North Texas. In this flexible float role, you'll prepare and maintain the sterile field, set up and pass instruments, and assist surgeons and RNs during a variety of procedures.

Responsibilities include surgical counts, equipment troubleshooting, patient positioning support, and strict adherence to infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of maintaining a sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Ability to set up and pass instruments accurately during procedures.
• Experience assisting surgeons and RNs and performing surgical counts.
• Familiarity with infection prevention standards and OR safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for various procedures.
• Set up, pass instruments, and anticipate instrument needs.
• Assist surgeons and RNs as required in the OR.
• Conduct surgical counts and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Support patient positioning and uphold infection prevention standards.
