Job summary

Shutterfly is hiring seasonal part-time team members for the JCPenney Portrait Team in Jersey City, NJ. The role centers on fun, creative photography and a customer-first sales experience. You’ll engage customers, schedule sessions, and deliver memorable photos in a fast-paced retail setting.

Ideal applicants are at least 18 with a HS diploma; prior photography or retail experience is preferred but not required. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Retail, sales, service or photography experience preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build rapport with children and adults.
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture photos that are fun and creative to exceed customers' expectations.
• Perform the sales process to achieve Sales Average expectations.
• Talk to potential customers and call existing customers to schedule and confirm sessions.
• Provide a wonderful customer experience from start to finish.

What You’ll Do Here

• Capture photos that are fun and creative to exceed the customers’ expectations

The Skills You’ll Bring

• Minimum 18 years of age, with high school diploma or GED Equivalent
• Previous retail, sale, service, or photography experience is preferred
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to quickly establish rapport with children and adults
• Basic math and computer skills (e.g., navigation, data entry)
• No experience necessary!
