Job summary

Deseret Book Company in St. George, UT is seeking a seasonal, part-time Store Associate to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and help customers find products.

You will operate cash registers, stock shelves, assist with gift wrapping, and maintain an inviting store environment across days, evenings, and Saturdays. The role requires helpful product knowledge, reliability, and the ability to lift merchandise as needed.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit exceptional customer service and sales skills.

• Able to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except Thanksgiving/Christmas).

Required Skills

• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position
• Excellent customer service skills

• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
• Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates
• Ability to locate and identify product for customers
• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work through the holiday season
