Deseret Book Company in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a seasonal, part-time store associate to provide world-class sales and customer service. You will operate cash registers, locate products, take orders, imprinting and gift-wrapping, and help maintain an organized store environment with merchandise presentation.

Shifts include days, evenings, and Saturdays. Immediate start through January 30, 2027, with a wage of $18.35/hour and a merchandise discount.

Description

Exhibit exceptional, world-class sales and customer service skills by selling Deseret Book products and services. Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation Various shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays

Required Skills

• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good product knowledge preferred
• Computer skills helpful
• Good team skills
• Self-motivated
• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
• Ability to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates
• Ability to locate and identify product for customers
• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work through the holiday season and through inventory, January 30, 2027
