Ely Outfitting Company in Ely, MN is seeking a Retail Store Manager with retail experience and a passion for wilderness adventures. You will report to the General Manager and oversee daily store operations, including inventory, merchandising, and guest services.

Qualifications

• Commit to employment between May 1 and Oct. 1; portion of season may be full time and portion part time.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and multitasking.
• Knowledge of the Boundary Waters and interest in sharing enthusiasm for the Wilderness experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail store inventory, including purchasing, receiving, and merchandising retail items.
• Ensure a clean and well maintained retail building.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Accurately handle customer payments.
• Assist with other shop duties as needed.
• Maintain the highest level of friendly and professional guest services.
