Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Key Holder to assist the store leadership team in creating an exceptional shopping experience for fans of music and pop culture.

You’ll train new hires, support daily operations, and help meet sales goals while ensuring product knowledge and visual standards are maintained on the sales floor. You’ll step in for the Store Manager when needed, help with opening/closing, and work on the register while promoting add-on sales.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to train and coach new team members.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience to encourage returns and leverage product knowledge.
• Support store leadership and help run the store when the manager is away.
• Understand sales goals and help drive KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Cover sales floor areas and assist with opening/closing the store.
• Handle register transactions and assist with add-on sales.
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising changes.
• Share fashion and music trend updates with management and HQ.
• Help prevent theft and manage stockroom organization.
• Train and coach new Sales Associates as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties by the Store Leader.
