Job summary

World Market is hiring for a seasonal retail role at our Independence, MO location. You’ll assist customers, stock shelves, and keep the sales floor inviting and organized. This role emphasizes a friendly, can-do attitude and strong communication with customers and teammates.

You’ll participate in stocking, pricing, and signage upkeep while delivering a fun shopping experience. Prior retail experience is a plus, and you must be at least 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is welcome but not required.
• Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
• Minimum age 16 to work in retail locations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as part of stocking duties.

Responsibilities

• Process freight and unload trucks.
• Maintain merchandising, pricing, signing and sales floor replenishment standards.
• Maintain an organized stockroom.
• Contribute to a safe shopping environment.
• Checkout customers in store and handle buy online pickup in store as needed.
• Share product knowledge to help customers find the perfect item.
