Academy Sports + Outdoors is hiring Store Team Members to deliver a friendly, efficient shopping experience. You’ll help customers find gear, operate the register, and keep the sales floor tidy during the store’s busiest seasons.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication as you learn multiple store functions—from cashier to stock to merchandising—while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and adapt to a wide range of processes and procedures.
• Engaging customer service skills supported by effective listening and speaking.
• Basic math skills and the ability to understand instructions through reading and writing.
• Proficiency using a handheld or desktop computer, point-of-sale equipment, and a telephone.
• Ability to learn and recall Academy products and services, understand customer needs, and provide assistance.
• A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers in sales, cashier, merchandising and receiving work.
• Keep pricing and signage accurate and merchandise organized for quick shopping.
• Support checkout and customer flow to ensure a smooth, high-energy service experience.
• Move between roles as the store and customers require, especially during peak periods.
