Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking a Snowmaker for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 at our mountain locations. You will be responsible for operating transportation vehicles, maintaining snowmaking equipment, and supporting the snowmaking team to ensure optimal snow conditions.

Starting wage ranges from $25.25 to $30.61 per hour. The role requires English fluency, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine environments with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Snowmaking experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations.
• Operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, and manual/automatic guns.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned.
