Job summary

June Mountain is seeking seasonal instructors to teach young guests and support ski school operations in June Lake, California. You will train to provide safe, fun lessons for children aged 3–6 and assist with rentals, lesson area setup, and lift operations throughout the season.

Openings include Full Time, 3-day Part-Time, and Holiday shifts. A free season pass and discounts at Alterra Resorts are included as part of benefits. Employment may require a background check.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with small children in a winter environment.
• Experience with children and/or guest service is preferred.
• Empathy for beginners and ability to teach new skills safely and with fun.
• Must be flexible, positive, a team player, and able to work in variable weather.
• On-the-job training will provide necessary skills; cross-training may apply for snowboard instructors.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to guests aged 3–6 years old.
• Assist with equipment rentals, lesson area setup, shoveling, and lift operations.
• Season-long certification and elective training programs are available for staff growth.
