Job summary

Timberline Mountain is hiring seasonal Ski and Snowboard Instructors for the 2026-2027 season at the Davis, WV location. Instructors teach both group and individual lessons to guests aged 4 and up, using PSIA-AASI-based training models and a focus on a positive learning environment.

No prior instructing experience is required, and new hires undergo paid on-snow training. Pay scales range by certification, with opportunities for annual raises and dues reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 14 years old by 11/1/2026.
• No prior instructing experience is required.
• Instructors should be able to ski/snowboard at an intermediate or higher level.
• Completion of paid on-snow training, after being hired is required.
• All employees age 18+ will complete a background check upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages and abilities how to ski/snowboard, using techniques and safety information.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure guests enjoy their experience.
• Prioritize safety and promote skier/rider responsibility.
• Solve problems effectively, especially in unexpected weather and/or snow conditions.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and supervisors.
• Behave professionally and maintain a positive attitude.
