Job summary

Bolton Valley is seeking a Lift Operator to assist passengers with the safe loading and unloading of our six ski lifts, while ensuring ticket validity and providing excellent customer service throughout each shift. This seasonal full/part-time position requires outdoor work in all weather, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and frequent snow shoveling on and around lift stations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or laboring experience preferred.
• Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in the safe loading and unloading of the ski lift.
• Provide instruction and excellent customer service to lift passengers.
• Stall chairs to ensure passenger comfort and safety during loading.
• Slow or stop the lift as necessary to ensure safety.
• Maintain load and unload areas, shoveling and/or raking snow as needed.
• Ensure chairs are clear of snow/ice before loading.
• Identify hazards and report them immediately.
• Follow all lift operation policies and rules.
• Assist in emergency procedures and liaise with Ski Patrol as required.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and post-operation shutdowns.
• Assist in evacuations of disabled lifts.
• Verify valid day tickets or season passes before boarding.
