Job summary

Pacific Seafood is hiring a Shellfish Farm Worker- Seasonal to join the Humboldt Farm team in Humboldt, CA. The role involves harvesting, infrastructure maintenance, farm organization, and operating farming equipment in varied conditions on the water.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, physical stamina, and the ability to work weekends/holidays. Bilingual Spanish/English and a valid driver’s license are pluses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: valid driver’s license.
• Prior aquaculture farming experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in seeding operations, including lines prep.
• Maintenance of rafts, lines and farm structures.
• Harvest mussels: sorting, cleaning, packing for sale.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Keep records and fill paperwork.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts and harvesting equipment safely.
• Organize farm area and assist with cleaning.
• Work safely in adverse weather and on the water.
• Manage growth and harvesting of mussel lines.
• Assist with packing operations as needed.
