Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is reopening for the 2025-2026 year with temporary, part-time seasonal support positions at our campuses. Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting staff, and helping with basic technology questions related to CPS applications.

Positions are non-benefit eligible, 6.75 hours per day with a 45-minute unpaid lunch, and pay at $15 per hour. Candidates need not live in Chicago and will work under a school principal’s supervision.

Qualifications

• Temporary, part-time seasonal role in schools.
• Duties assigned by Principal after the application process.
• Reliable workers to support return-to-school framework.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students learning in person when teachers remote.
• Assist in-person staff with supervising students.
• Help students with basic CPS applications login and tech questions.
• Deliver supplies and equipment as needed.
• Contact parents and students as required.
• Support recess and lunch supervision.
• Assist with health screening at entrance.
• Monitor social distancing and mask protocols.
• Ensure adherence to CPS health and safety protocols.
