Job summary

CHS Inc. in Newark, IL is seeking a Seasonal Scale Operator to join our team this fall.

You will weigh and grade grain in inbound and outbound trucks, assist in running scale operations, and deliver prompt, courteous customer service during busy harvest periods. No experience is required upfront, and the role offers weekend hours and overtime opportunities with the potential to join full-time at season end.

Qualifications

• 0-6+ months of Operations, Business Operations and/or Customer Service experience.
• General data entry and computer skills required.
• Ability to work longer days, weekends and/or holidays during peak seasons.

• Provide high level customer service by addressing customers promptly and courteously.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and direct them as needed.

• Identify and communicate hazards and seek corrective action as needed.

No experience required - assist in running scale operations during the fall season! As a major buyer and trader of grains and oilseeds, CHS moves more than two billion bushels annually through its network of river, rail and export terminals. Join the largest co-op in the U.S to receive competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and overtime hours to maximize your take home pay. Shift schedules range from 7a-7p depending on business demand with weekend hours and the potential to join our team full time at the end of the season.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service by addressing customers in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
• Answer telephone promptly and direct calls as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist other personnel as needed.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 0-6+ months of Operations, Business Operations and/or Customer Service
