Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment. You will become a trusted product knowledge expert and help customers with gifts, registry services, catalog orders, and furniture orders.

You will operate the POS system, maintain visual merchandizing standards, and ensure cleanliness and stockroom organization. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of customer service experience are preferred; full-time

Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer service experience and retail sales experience (specialty retail preferred, but not required)
• Aptitude for selling and exceeding goals
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Open availability for full-time shifts and weekend work

• Operate register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately
• Support visual merchandising, signage and lighting maintenance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate POS system.
• Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, (up to 75 lbs.) while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• 1-2 years customer service experience and retail sales experience (specialty retail preferred, but not required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
• Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend** (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). For an associate to be scheduled 20 hours or more weekly, greater availability (beyond the minimum required above) that meets the needs of the business will be required. **Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday).
