Job summary

Five Below is hiring for a Seasonal Sales Associate to join our holiday-season team. You will deliver outstanding customer service, keep merchandise organized, and ensure the sales floor stays replenished and welcoming.

This temporary position runs from October through January, offering flexible scheduling and an opportunity to work with a fast-paced, energetic team. Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, promoting promotions, and handling transactions at the register.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices)
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: approach and acknowledge customers, provide assistance and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: assess needs by sharing product knowledge, answer questions, direct to merchandise and offer recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current promotions and activities to drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address issues and offer alternatives, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: inform management about restocking, service requirements and feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.
