Job summary

The Paper Store is looking for Sales Associates to deliver world-class service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, understand their needs, explain product features, and suggest items to build sales while upholding brand standards.

Role requires professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided, and employees are expected to maintain store presentation and assist with ear piercings where permitted.

Qualifications

• Experience in specialty retail preferred
• Ability to use POS systems and basic Microsoft Office
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Act as a TPS Champion by modeling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and delivering World Class Service
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm
• Understand customer needs by asking open-ended questions
• Explain product features and benefits in relation to customer needs with in-depth knowledge
• Suggest additional items to enhance sales using effective selling techniques
• Thank the customer and invite them to return and shop with us again
• Be a TPS brand ambassador with friendly, attentive and respectful customer interactions
• Contribute to a positive work environment with ethical behavior and professionalism
• Support all sales efforts across channels to maximize company sales
• Capture accurate customer information at the POS and process transactions correctly
• Maintain awareness of current promotions and apply them at the POS
• Participate in training and development opportunities
• Prepare incoming product for the floor following guidance from supervisors
• Merchandise products according to visual guidelines and standards
• Perform ear piercings and provide a safe, sanitary experience where applicable (select locations)
• Demonstrate knowledge of computers, systems and programs relevant to the position
• Maintain store cleanliness and upkeep as required
• Complete other tasks as directed by store management within the time frame

Sales Associates are responsible for delivering world class service, achieving sales goals and maintaining merchandising standards in a fun and fast paced retail environment. Sales Associates report directly to the Store Team Leader and other members of management.Sales associates are responsible for providing customers with a unique shopping experience by utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. service approach.
