Job summary

Deseret Book in Draper, UT is seeking seasonal part-time team members to deliver exceptional service and help customers discover inspiring products. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock and present merchandise, and wrap gifts during a busy shopping season.

Multiple shifts are available, including days, evenings, and Saturdays. Hourly wage is $14.55, with a friendly “great work environment” culture and merchandise discounts for staff.

Qualifications

• Interact with customers in-person and by phone on a daily basis.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Good product knowledge is preferred.
• Computer skills are helpful for daily tasks.

• Self-motivated and reliable with a flexible schedule.
• Must be available for days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays.
• Able to hear, understand, and respond to customers and coworkers.
• Ability to locate and identify products for customers.
• Lift up to 20 lbs regularly and 35–50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work through the holiday season.

Responsibilities

Description Exhibit exceptional, world-class sales and customer service skills by selling Deseret Book products and services. Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping. Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation. Various shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays.
