Job description

OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Room Attendants provide one of the most critical functions at the Resort; ensuring that all our guests have an excellently appointed room upon their arrival. Room Attendants clean guest rooms/suites/villas before guests’ arrival and provide stayover service to in-house guests. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Read and understand the report/room assignment boards.
2. Ensure that the Housekeeping Closets and Carts are kept clean, organized, and stocked.
3. Clean, dust, sanitize, and stock all guest rooms (including bathrooms and kitchens in certain rooms) according to the standards and procedures of the Resort.
4. Strip rooms of trash and linen.
5. Make beds according to Resort standards.
6. Participate in the deep clean schedule.
7. Provide floor care on a regular basis.
8. Handle “do not disturb” rooms.
9. Provide stayover and turndown service as assigned.
10. Report any Maintenance issues or lost items to Management.
11. Keep corridors clean, neat, and free of any debris.
12. Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

1. Able to work independently and as a team member.
2. Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations.
3. Customer service-oriented ensures that every guest receives an excellent room.
4. Highly attentive to details and careful and thorough in completing tasks.
5. Able to maintain composure in difficult situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least one (1) year’s experience in a Housekeeping Department is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
2. Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
3. Some public areas of the Resort are outside; working in inclement weather is required.

Compensation:

$16 an hour to start.
