Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a seasonal Med Surg assignment in Oro Valley, AZ. The 13- or 26-week contracts run on day shifts (3 12s per week) to support patient care across units.

The RN will perform assessments, administer medications, coordinate care with the team, and ensure patient safety and education under established protocols. ACLS preferred, BCLS required, and state RN licensure must be active.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN Med Surg experience required.
• BLS certification mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using nursing process and established protocols.
• Assess patients, document findings, and communicate changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop and adjust care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
